There are now many websites offering the ability to download games for the Nintendo Wii and in addition they usually offer other types of media downloads, such as films and music. However, finding a good quality media download service is a different story. Especially since many so called download services fill your PC or Mac with virus software, spy-ware, and other malicious programs.
What content can I download for the Wii?
Before I get into explaining how to go about downloading Wii games, you need to be aware of what content you can actually download and use on your Wii. The good news is that you can get free full downloadable games, movies, TV series, music, and audio books. Much of this content can also be used on your PC or Mac.
What Media Download Services Can I Use?
There is an ever growing list of media download sites, including membership sites where you pay and monthly or annual fee, peer-to-peer (P2P) sites, and torrent sites. However, a large proportion of these sites are illegal, scams, or both and therefore should be completely avoided at all costs. The ones that are scams are just set-up to take your money for poor quality or non-existent content. Others may give you access to lots of software, but behind the scenes they are filling your download computer with spy-ware, viruses, and other unwanted and dangerous software
As with any type of services, where there are some very bad ones you’ll also find some excellent quality services. The high quality download sites offering Wii downloads are the ones that also offer a superb range of media content, with fast download speeds, great tools for finding the files you want, and some even offer 24/7 support. Many of the top download services are independently verified to run legal software that are both spy-ware and virus free.
Which Wii Download Services Should I use?
I have tried and test many different download services and on WiiFirst.net I list and rate the current top three. The best services I’ve reviewed have a one-off set-up fee (about the cost of one Wii game), but they all offer a 100% money back guarantee if you are not happy with the service they offer. This makes your purchase risk-free which for me is essential when choosing any media download service.
The best download sites also offer a great selection of quality free games for the Wii, as well as providing access to all types of media content, such as movies, music, TV series, and even XBox, Sony PS3, and PC games.
It is important that you chose your download service carefully. Downloading Wii games is simple with the right service, so that’s why a quality reputable service that has been verified to be virus and spy-ware free should be at the top of your list. Plus, with the right service you will get 24 hour customer support, superb content, and mega fast downloads.
If you want to download games for the Nintendo Wii then don’t get sucked in by fancy sales pages with “too good to miss” offers as they are probably a scam!

The Nintendo Wii has gained notoriety since its launching in the four key markets in December of 2006. The concept of the Wii was first spoken of during the E3 press conference in 2004. Later, it was unveiled at the 2005 E3 when Satoru Iwata showed a prototype of the controller at the Tokyo Game Show in 2005.
Nintendo Wii Sports bundle hit the USA November of 2006. It is still selling like hotcakes. Folks young and old are falling in love with this amazingly fun Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle. When it debuted during 2006 E3, Nintendo Wii was given Best Hardware and Best of Show Awards from the Game Critics Awards. No matter where you look if you pick up a copy of any gaming magazine worth its salt you will find that it is also hailing the Wii as the game console breakthrough. Wii is the game that got an Emmy from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for Game Controller Innovation.
What is driving the popularity of Wii? Everyone is curious as to what is making this game so popular? Why is Wii outselling PS3 and XBOX360 and why can’t they keep up and surpass Wii’s fan base?
The media has been whining about how our kids are getting unhealthier by the day, due to technology (i.e. video games) so Nintendo came up with the revolutionary gaming console that is Nintendo Wii. Inadvertently it seems that aside from addressing the dilemma of our kids becoming couch potatoes Nintendo Wii has provided interactive gaming that makes the player feel like he or she is really in the game.
The Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle is the main motivating factor for the rise of this phenomenon. When you purchase the Wii console it comes with 5 cool sports games. The neat thing is that you can really express yourself when you play with the Wii console.
Should Nintendo unbundle Wii Sports? Marketing analysts think it would be best for sales. Why you may ask? It is reasonable to assume that if you break the Nintendo Wii sports bundle up than the price of the console can be lowered to make it “more affordable”. Marketing predictions indicate that the Nintendo Wii Sports bundle sales are heading for a decline but if it is unbundled then it would grow strong again by 2009.
First of all Wii’s popularity is due to the fact that it is being sold as a bundle. Second, how can the Nintendo Wii Sports Bundle be heading into decline when, even as we speak, Nintendo is scrambling to fill in all the orders. The demand is exceeding the available supply albeit the 1.8 million consoles Nintendo is shelling out a month.
Lastly Nintendo Wii Sports bundle is so popular not only with the younger demographics but also the older ones. Some people are even saying that they don’t buy any other games after purchasing a Nintendo Wii sports bundle. Why mess with a good thing, when people are perfectly happy with the Nintendo Wii sports Bundle just as it is?

Through the days of GameCube, GameBoy, Entertainment System and the DS line, there was really little between the likes of Nintendo, Microsoft (Xbox) and Sony (PS) in video gaming. That was until the Wii came along, and then BANG! By now, few true-blue video gamers would dispute that Nintendo has clearly surged ahead.
Given the market and competition in the industry, it’s indeed no mean feat to reign supreme in the video game industry. It had to be really special, that’s why it took something like the Wii to do it. Wii is a multi-purpose AV player, personal computer, internet browser, e-communication device and above all, revolutionary game console, rolled into one.
The magic of Nintendo Wii Games is not as much in the games per se as it is in the way they are played. The intuitive remote controller is enabled by its unique motion sensing technology in 3-D, giving it the feeling of the real thing, complete with actual bodily motion and exercise as opposed to the traditional video game serving of buttons and joysticks, always played seated.
The Nintendo Wii Console is basically just a very ordinary processing station. It is the wireless remote controller that is the wizard of Nintendo Wii gaming. Depending on the game in play, it can be a sports gear or an adventure weapon or anything. When used in conjunction with the Nunchuck secondary controller, it sends gamers on highs that are potentially addictive or compulsive, so watch out!
Game consoles are generally tended to kids but Nintendo Wii Games can be family affairs, they have the range. There’s even a menu channel for setting up personal profiles called Mii so involvement and participation can be even and well-matched regardless of age, gender and other conditions. A wide variety of games are available spanning sports, action, fighting, puzzles, casino and others.
Classic and retro games are also widely available. For one thing, the Nintendo Wii is backward compatible to the games of GameCube and even Entertainment System series. 4 GameCube controller ports are actually provided although some of the old games can be played with the Wii remote. The media bay will also accept the old GameCube discs along with the newer Wii version.
Nintendo Wii Games are sold mainly through the games store. They can also be purchased and downloaded from Wii Virtual Console. Of late, heavy-duty Wii gamers are increasingly turning to third-party online download services especially for the new mainstream games. These download service providers appear to be quite a savvy alternative, at least in terms of cost.
