We love to watch movies and the truth is that films can be very valuable for our lives. Observing a good movie permits us to let go and escape our everyday tribulations, concerns and uncertainties, while we get caught up in the lives and circumstances of the characters in the film. Pick from the summaries below and download a great motion picture to watch this evening!

Me without You – Shy, tender Williams and extroverted Friel have been best friends as long as they can remember, however as they come of age their friendship is compromised. Credibly charming girl friend film has some strainful minutes, but it doesn’t quite come together. Cast includes Anna Friel, Michelle Williams, Oliver Milburn, Trudie Styler, Marianne Denicourt, Steve John Shepherd, Nicky Henson, Allan Corduner, Kyle MacLachlan, and Anna Popplewell. (107 minutes, 2001)

Dingo – An astonishing appearance by jazz trumpeter Billy Cross (Davis) in a young man’s rural town empowers him to become a musician himself. Now grown up, he still fantasies of playing for a living and honoring his lifelong hero. This friendly but dull paced story is kindled by Miles Davis’ dynamic presence and ingratiating behavior. Cast includes Colin Friels, Miles Davis, Helen Buday, Joe Petruzzi, Bernadette Lafont, and Bernard Fresson. (108 minutes, 1991)

Onionhead – A untidy film with Griffith joining the Coast Guard in pre WW2 and becoming a ships chef. The movie attempts to be a comedy, a romance, and a drama at the same time and succeeds at none. Cast includes Andy Griffith, Felicia Farr, Walter Matthau, Erin O’Brien, Joe Mantell, Ray Danton, James Gregory, Joey Bishop, Roscoe Karns, Claude Akins, Peter Brown, and Tige Andrews. (110 minutes, 1958)

The Prince and the Showgirl – Fairly good but slow moving comedy of saucy American show gal Monroe being courted by Prince Regent of Carpathia (Olivier) throughout the 1911 coronation of George V. Filmed in England, with excellent performances by Monroe and Olivier. Cast includes Marilyn Monroe, Laurence Olivier, Sybil Thorndike, Jeremy Spencer, and Richard Wattis. (117 minutes, 1957)

Inferno – American returns to N.Y. from school in Rome to explore the shocking death of his sibling, and finds “sinister moms” causing paranormal disorder on both sides of Atlantic. Surreal, mesmerizing shocker by Italian terror genius Argento doesn’t make much sense, but it has a lot of style. Cast includes Leigh McCloskey, Irene Marvel, Sacha Pitoeff, Daria Nicolodi, Eleonora Giorgi, Veronica Lazar, and Alida Valli. (107 minutes, 1984)

Fantasies – Sloppy hogwash in regards to Derek’s and Hooten’s attempts to turn a Greek island into a tourist trap. Shot in 1973, while Bo was sixteen. Cast includes Bo Derek, Peter Hooten, Anna Alexiadis, Phaedon Gheorghitis, and Therese Bohlin. (81 minutes, 1981)

Bullitt – Perfect McQueen antihero role that he grows to love. As a policeman attempting to keep his witness alive. McQueen sees a great deal of mayhem as the mafia is out to slay the man he must safeguard. Cast includes Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, Jacqueline Bisset, Don Gordon, and Robert Duvall. (113 minutes, 1968)
