PlayStation 3 consoles are able to play and store on Blu-ray discs, multimedia capabilities, plus connectivity with the PlayStation Portable.
If you already own a PlayStation Portable (PSP), it will work with your PlayStation 3 being able to transfer data and take your games on the go. This is a convenience that many teens see as a must have
Much competition has come from Xbox360 and Nintendo Wii. The PlayStation 3 still outperforms any of the other console systems mainly due to having 2 earlier versions as a testing ground.
It was one of the first to be released and has had upgrades to compete with newer gaming systems that still may have bugs to get worked out.
