Need for Speed: Shift’s demo will be downloadable from October 1st on PSN and Xbox LIVE – the PC demo is already available on the NFS website.

In the demo, you’ll push the BMW M3 (E46), 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10, 2006 Lotus Elise 111R or 2008 Nissan GT-R to its limits on the world-famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps track and the tight city circuit of London River.

Players that dominate each track and collect enough stars will also unlock the ultimate racing machine – the Pagani Zonda F.

i am thinking of buying this game or dirt 2 tomorrow or saturday since gran turismo 5 isn`t coming out till march 2010 now. Is this game similar to need for speed high stakes and need for speed 2 which were both awesome games?

AI was one of the main things they’ve worked on in this game….Saying AI was poor is like saying Fallout 3 isn’t an RPG.

Proving you can’t keep a great game down for long, EA’s new reboot of the Need For Speed series, NFS: Shift, has debuted at No.1 in the UK games chart this week.

The PlayStation 3 version of Need For Speed: Shift came out as the top format with 52% of the sales, while Xbox 360 took 44% and PC and PSP have the remaining 5%.

i’ve been playing this game now for 2 days. graphics are great, but i dont think this will be(come) a game wich will be played for a long time. because the online multiplayer mode doesn’t really work properly, theres a lot of cheating (crashing) and you cant compete a lobby because of the voting system. on top of that the collision cant be turned of. In Single player the Artificial Intelligence is poor. Besides handling is weird, hopefully i can inprove it with tuning,

NFS most wanted is awesome, but i think you got the wrong idea from this game. It’s actually really good and it lived up to my expectations. Plus I love all of the new selection of brand new cars.

Its the best of the “street style” but shift looks like a good GT5 substitue for PC

to be a noob an all but seriously is this split screen or 2 player at all ?……..

its awesome! I love the 15 man races, the awesome cockpit and outside views, the ai are actually smart and everything. 9/10

Only problems with it i find are a slight lack of customisation (generic add ons for every car) and you get money to fast in career but thats never a problem :)
