Comments blocked due to tons of retards that 1. thought they could just download or install something to make their connection faster. 2. don’t understand p2p networks and think torrents with thousands of seeds work the same as torrents with little seeds and 3. Complain about 1024 kB vs mB even though I was simplifying and also said 5.130kilobits = 5 mbit 4. Can’t read the damn description.

Dude – you are so wrong about the torrent speed thing. You do not understand it. Also, your explanation of ISPs and speeds is very misleading. Its way too much to say here but dude you should remove this video and post a more correct one. This needs a retraction as the poster is not technical enough.

Yeah, but the day someone social engineers private information out of a clueless employee of your ISP could very well be yesterday. I dont worry about hackers as much as I worry about other Phreakers and Con artists adept at getting what they want through bypassing human facilities.

in the netherlands there is a family-dsl with 20megabits per second .. so arround 2MB per second..
a usual CD (700MB) download would actually need arround 6 Minutes..
but still the downside.. 1megabit up… its good but .. these rates should be balanced because its only good for videostreams and homeservers/websites…

1000kb/MB = 1kb/KB
you’re thinking of a different prefix
1024 KiB (kibibyte) = 1 MiB (mibibyte)

you said 1000kb is 1mb.. but accually 1mb is 1024kb .. and 1gb is 1024mb wich is 1048576kb.. and its huge difference when it comes to terabytes.. becouse its 24gb loss..

Also when the seed:leech ratio is healthy, like 5:1, youll get the file really freaking fast because thats 5 seeds to 1 leecher, not to mention all the leechers who you can also download from. The main thing you should do is understand what your upload limit is, and limit your p2p upload to about 60-80% of your maximum upload. This will give room for your best download performance.
