Classic Game Room HD — SUPER NINTENDO console review
Classic Game Room HD reviews the SUPER NINTENDO video game console which was released in the US in 1991. A fan favorite and many viewers’ first game system, the Super Nintendo delivered awesome video games with a 16 bit style that differed from its main rival, the Sega Genesis. Smoother visuals and that Nintendo flair for lengthy games packed with months of gameplay made the SNES game console the system to own for fans of Mario games and Zelda. Could you find Super Metroid on the Genesis, Sega CD or 32S? No! (but could you find Cosmic Carnage on the SNES… No!) This Super Nintendo video game console review shows games and the game system up close. Relive the days when competing video game consoles were actually different and played different games. Reminisce about different sound effects, music design and graphics that separated rival Nintendo from Sega. The American Super Nintendo may be built to last and works like a champ but suffers from a case of the uglies. These days many of the best Super Nintendo games can be found on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console and downloaded for a few bucks. Games like Super Mario Kart on SNES and Super Mario World still hold their value and bring back years of memories for collectors.

@MrPink4tw Well yeah there are some worth under 100, but there are a few that are 2500 for the entire thing from what I last saw on Ebay, which to me its abit to much, and congrats for getting Chrono Trigger, really great game to play and have! : D xD

Oh yeah, super NES has alot of high value games up to date, for example for a high value game like Earthbound would cost anyone at least a hundred dollars and the highest price value 2,500 dollars for the complete set of it, but still worth it to play such a classic underrated RPG of the Super NES though.

@hash2196 If you have a Wii, you can buy most SNES games on the Virtual Console for under $5…I lost my SNES a while ago, so the Virtual Console is a blessing for me.

@madcapoperator The only thing the Dreamcast system is good for nowadays, is for pirating the whole entire game library, with a simple RW Disc.

The European Super Nintendo looks a lot more awesome.
And I agree, I still play SNES games!

BTW when i put ‘Brilliant days, the Dreamcast killed that era’ i didnt mean it killed that era of gaming per-se but it was the last console released in the 90′s. Hope no dreamcast fanboys pounce on that and give me shit o.O

The 90′s is definetly my favourite era for gaming. My first console was the SNES and had loads of friends who had Mega Drive’s. Then progressing from these onto 3D gaming first with the playstation (only one person i knew had a Sega Saturn and only had like 5 games for it, most of them being football (or SOCCER, ugh) or racing titles) and then the N64. Brilliant days, the Dreamcast killed that era. PS2 was great but…didnt have the same ‘wow’ factor the 90′s consoles had and none have had since

@necko115 I would say Atari is the grand daddy of gaming, the magnavox odessy is the great grand daddy and the NES is the dad, I dunno about any kinds but I am guessting the Wii, Xbox 360 and Wii are babies, PS1, saturn and N64 are teens and the Genesis and Super Nintendo are young adults. PS2, dreamcast, Xbox and gamecube are just…kids.
