Inspired by the incredible flexibility of the Spore Creature Creator, Darkspore is an upcoming sci-fi themed action role-playing game where players will battle across alien worlds against killer mutants. The game will feature a four player cooperative campaign alongside a single player campaign. Players choose between five different classes that feature various hero genetic types. Characters are upgraded by picking up “living weapons” to improve their characters using thousands of collectible body parts and armor.

Darkspore is expected to release in early 2011.
