Can you put the sims 3 game and downloads for my game on an external hard drive instead of my computer?
ok the sims 3 comes out in a month and i really want to download it on my mac but i don’t think i have enough memory. i download a lot of things for my sims as extra stuff to put in my game. is it possible to put all of this on external hard drive so that i can just hook it up to my computer whenever i want to play it? would the downloads show up in the game if i did this?

Possible but the internal HDD runs on a faster interface than an external drive on USB or firewire interface. Game loading time would be SLOW. Gameplay may also be affected to a certain extent.
Downloads on the right folder should show up.
