Man of Iron: The somber account of Germi, a railroad architect, whose life takes a catastrophic turn, influencing his entire family. Cast includes Pietro Germi, Luisa Della Noce, Sylva Kascina, and Carla Giuffre. (116 minutes, 1956)
Ju-on The Grudge: The ghosts of a violently killed mom and her child vengefully terrorize and murder a succession of individuals who have a connection with the humble Tokyo home where the murders took place. Not a tale as such, rather a succession of eerie scenes, some quietly scary, others outright horrifying. Cast includes Megumi Okina, Misaki Ito, Misa Uehara, Yui Ichikawa, Kanji Tsuda, Takako Fuji, Kayoko Shibata, Yukako Kukuri, Takashi Matsuyama, and Yuya Ozeki. (92 minutes, 2003)
On Golden Pond: Fonda, in his last film, is no less than radiant as crotchety retired professor Norman Thayer, Jr., furious at being 80 years old and frightened of losing his mind. Hepburn is fine as his committed, all knowing spouse who shares his summers at Maine lakefront home. Jane is his disassociated daughter. Cast includes Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda, Doug McKeon, Dabney Coleman, and William Lanteau. (1009minutes, 1981)
Say One for Me: Bing plays a Broadway pastor who gets mixed up with a chorus girl (Debbie) and a Television charity show. This film is horribly contrived with no memorable music. Belle Starr: AN elderly Tierney is miscast as infamous lady outlaw in gradually paced account of her lawbreaker occupation. Cast includes Randolph Scott, Gene Tierney, Dana Andrews, John Sheppard (Shepperd Strudwick), and Elizabeth Patterson. (87 minutes, 1941)
Crusoe: An intense rendition of the oft-filmed Defoe classic, with Quinn cast as the title personality, a slave dealer who’s shipwrecked on a deserted isle, where he must handle loneliness, seclusion, survival. The most captivating of all is his growing relation with black combatant Sapara. Cast includes Aidan Quinn, Ade Sapara, Warren Clark, Hepburn Grahame, Jimmy Nail, Tim Spall, Michael Higgins, Shane Rimmer, and Oliver Platt. (91 minutes, 1988)

Fashion model Jacob meets upset, retired judge Trintignant accidentally, then creates a relationship with him and enters his cloistered, secret life.
